How we are paid: affiliate disclosure
Last updated: 4 November 2026
Health Insurance Austria earns money from referral links to Care Austria, a health insurance plan arranged by Care Concept AG and insured by HanseMerkur Versicherungsgruppe (Advigon Versicherung AG). If a contract is concluded through one of our links, we receive a commission from the insurer, paid through Care Concept AG; you pay no surcharge or fee. We are an information site run by ChiliMarketing Ltd., not a government office, not an insurer and not an insurance broker or adviser.
The short version
This page is general information only — not legal, tax, or insurance advice, and no substitute for individual advice. Tariffs, prices, and requirements can change and are provided without guarantee; always rely on the insurer’s current terms and the relevant authority’s requirements. For advice tailored to your situation, consult an independent insurance advisor/broker or the responsible office. No liability is accepted for decisions made based on this page. Transparency: some links are referral links; if you take out a policy we may earn a small commission, at no extra cost to you.
What is a referral link?
A referral link is a link to Care Austria or its application that carries our partner reference. On this site these links go through the address /go/care-austria/ and are marked as sponsored; the Care Concept pages and the application form embedded on our Care Austria pages carry the same partner reference and are labelled as referral content. If a contract is concluded, we receive a commission from the insurer (paid through the agency Care Concept AG); you pay no surcharge or fee. You pay the same premium as anyone else; the price comes from the insurer’s published tariffs. The insurer is HanseMerkur Versicherungsgruppe (Advigon Versicherung AG).
Do you rank or recommend insurance plans?
No. Our comparisons are factual and we do not pick a winner. Pages such as Care Austria vs FeelSafe and Care Austria vs Swisscare put the providers’ published facts side by side, each from the provider’s own pages or terms, without scores, ratings or a recommendation. We earn a commission only on Care Austria.
What does the commission not change?
- We publish the plan’s limits as clearly as its benefits. Cover ends when Daueraufenthalt EU or another unlimited residence permit is granted, or when you leave Austria for good (AVB § 6). Unlimited contracts can be cancelled ordinarily only after 1 year, and then only to 31 December with 1 month’s notice (AVB § 3). Premiums of the unlimited Standard tariff rise from 2028.
- We only repeat what an authority says in its own words. For Vienna, that is the MA 35 insurer list naming Care Concept AG; for Linz, the city’s list dated 12.12.2025. We do not claim acceptance by any other authority, and the authority decides each application.
- We describe ÖGK and other insurers as information only, with the same criteria, and without scores.
- Our guides on permits and the Austrian health system are written from official sources and would read the same without any referral link (see our editorial standards).
Who are we?
We act only as a Tippgeber (referral publisher) for Care Concept AG. We are not an insurer and not an insurance intermediary, broker or adviser: we do not arrange insurance, assess your demands and needs or give individual recommendations, and the contract is concluded only between you and the insurer.
